Old Town of Chania consists of the old harbour surrounded by high Venetian fortifications.
Narrow and picturesque streets – similar to a labyrinth – full of life, and the plentiful remaining Venetian and Turkish buildings make the scenery of this East mediterranean pearl.
The Lighthouse, the Fortress of Firka, the Mosque of Kioutsouk Hasan, the Great Venitian Arsenalis are landmarks of the city.
At walking distance from the old port ,are various free entrance beaches (the nearest at 1.5 kms ), You can drive also
for a day trip to the high mountains(2400m), cross forests and gorges,and arrive to the Libyan sea coast and villages.
In the neighborhood of this house are many cafes and bars and taverns offering a wide range of greek plates.
Every Saturday , near the house,is the open-popular market,where you get all products from village producers ( Honey-cheese-vegetables,fish, fruits ).

"Le logement correspond mot pour mot a la description et aux photos. L''aménagement de l''appartement est très fonctionnel, même luxueux. Il ne manque rien. Le design moderne se marie très bien avec le cadre ancien de la vieille ville. La terrasse sur le toit est un régal en fin de journée pour se reposer,voir le soleil se coucher d''un orange flamboyant et penser à toute les découvertes de nos visites de la Crète. La vue sur les toits de la Canée nous laisse découvrir les clochers et minarets du quartier Turc. L''accés est très facile, parking gratuit à 50 m du logement. La rue étroite du logement ne permet pas d''arriver en voiture mais vous assure un calme absolue. Je recommande l''appartement et le loueur qui est très disponible toujours soucieux de votre bien être. Après quinze année de vacances en Crète, c''est ma meilleur note attribuée."
